The Doctorate signifies a proven ability to conduct independent scientific research. Under the auspices of the Combined Faculty of Mathematics, Engineering and Natural Sciences, we confer over 30 Doctoral degrees in the subjects of mathematics and computer science each year.

Mathematics and Computer Science — Event

Girls' Day 2022

On April 28, 2022 from 9am to 2pm. Workshops on topics from mathematics and computer science provide insights into the work of (female) scientists and the opportunity to participate and try out many things. The workshops are aimed at schoolgirls in grades 5-10.

Girls'Day 2022 will take place on Thursday April 28th. The Institute for Computer Science, the Institute for Computer Engineering, the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing, and the Mathematical Institute organize this diverse event as part of the MINTMachen! initiative. In workshops on topics from mathematics and computer science from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. we will give you some insights into the work of (female) scientists. As with all MINTmachen! campaigns, you can participate and try out many things yourself. Depending on the workshop, the events of our Girls' Day are aimed at schoolgirls in grades 5-10.
